Aerial Filming and Surveying, with over 30 years of experience

Welcome...

At Altitude Aerial Photography Ltd, we are professional, fully insured and have a full Civil Aviation Authority permit for commercial operation. We can fly drones up to 20kg for filming, aerial photography, building surveys, land surveys and almost anything else where an aerial perspective can make the difference. Our main office is in Basingstoke, Hampshire, but we have crew all over the United Kingdom and are always willing to travel, as we simply love what we do.

We are proud to be fully licensed by our regulatory authorities. Our pilots hold the BNUC-S, which is from Euro-USC and represents the licensing theory and practical tests we have taken. We are insured with Coverdrone where we have a £5 million pound public liability insurance policy. The Civil Aviation Authority have granted us a permit for aerial work so we are legally entitled to fly in the United Kingdom. All of our pilots have achieved additional tested standards for unmanned aerial vehicle flying with the British Model Flying Association.

We use drones as this gives us an amazing amount of flexibility to capture aerial photographs and video from angles and locations that other filming methods just can't. Our fleet of unmanned aerial vehicles can lift anything from the small GoPro cameras all the way up to large SLR cameras and film equipment in a range of resolutions including 1080 HD and 4k Ultra HD. Added to this all of our drones have gimbal stabalised camera mounts to ensure the smoothest of aerial film quality and the sharpest of aerial photographs in most conditions.

When it comes to drone filming, pictures can say far more than words, so please take a look at our latest showreel below. Please remember that the video can only display to the quality of your monitor, so for the best representation of our work, please watch in HD or 4k.

If the service you are looking for is not on our shortlist below, the please get in touch. We can do so much more than just drone filming. For example we have flown unmanned aerial vehicles for display purposes, as well as flying more conventional model aircraft at shows, operated as safety control teams at events and also been safety pilots for university challenges. In a nutshell if it involves unmanned aerial vehicle flying we would love to get involved.

Drone Surveys

Drone filming can be a great way for making inspections at an altitude. Taking time to set up scaffolding is one way to get to the roof of a building to survey it, using our drones is another. We can be on site, set up and in the air very quickly. We can also get aerial photographs or film that can be reviewed afterwards for a more detailed inspection. We can also gather other data using equipment such as thermal cameras.

Events

From racing cars around a track to launching a super yacht, our unmanned aerial vehicles let us fly safely and record the action. If you've organised a publicity event, then make the most of the investment by using our drone filming services and adding a whole new perspective to your promotional material. We can also live stream the footage to a ground station for live broadcast in HD.

Indoors

Drone filming isn't just reserved to the great outdoors. Unlike a full size aircraft our drones can also fly indoors and other fairly tight locations. This also means we can transition between the two areas, flying in and out of buildings or between trees in the forest for example.

Buildings and Estates

We can help estate agents and property owners get superb aerial photographs of their properties. This can be used to help a property stand out when on the market, or create a promotional video for a business such as a golf course or holiday park. Drone filming can make a huge difference to the impact your promotional material has.

Countryside Photography

Using the latest in unmanned aerial vehicles and our four wheel drive vehicle, allows us to access most locations and fly, even those that might be slightly further from the beaten track than normal. We can fly over lakes, trees and other obstacles, which gives great flexibility for aerial photography, drone filming and surveys.

Meet the Altitude Aerial Photography team

Professional people for a professional service. When it comes to drone filming and aerial photography, you need people with experience that you can trust. You don't just need people that can fly or operate a camera, you need people that can do both at the same time, as well as people that can cover all of the safety aspects to make a job run smoothly, while still achieving the required results.

Christopher Bradbury

Senior Pilot In Command

Chris with his large scale electric powered Extra 300

Chris is a highly experienced radio control pilot, having been flying various disciplines of model aircraft and drones for many years, as well as a professional photographer.

Chris' work with unmanned aerial vehicles has resulted in TV appearances on programs such as BBC Click and Newsround, as well as flying at various model aircraft shows around the UK. This has also led to his regular involvement with the BMFA, which has included sitting on a special interest group for FPV, as well as writing the A and B certifications for multirotor aircraft. As a result he has a great ability at getting the aircraft in the right position for the best shots.

Craig Lorking

Payload Operator

Craig Lorking with one of his 3D helicopters

Craig has flying in his blood. He has always been obsessed with anything and everything that can fly. He was bought his first radio controlled plane at the age of 13 and taught himself how to fly. Today Craig is a professional radio controlled helicopter display pilot and a valued member or our team.

Craig primarily joins the AAPL team as our main payload operator, as his helicopter skills make for super smooth camera controls. Craig is also more than capable of flying any of our aircraft as well, which means we can operate a multi-aircraft set.

Steve Kasch

Safety Co-ordinator

Steve Kasch

Steve is our fountain of all knowledge, as well as another experienced UAS pilot. His background in the commercial operation of unmanned aircraft systems is second to none and vital to us.

Steve is able to help make sure we're still able to take on the jobs that others may fear to, while ensuring we stay legal and safe.

Dara Sexton

Spotter / Observer

Dara Sexton enjoying the views from Snowdon

Dara not only joins us as a key part of the safety crew, but is also a bit of a radio control flyer herself and enjoys gliding off the slopes around Hampshire.

Dara's background is in project management, so has become a great asset to the team, ensuring we never forget equipment and making sure our health and safety paperwork is completed.
